Alejandro Azuola
Co-Founder & CEO of Square Codex
Square Codex is led by Alejandro Azuola, a technology entrepreneur, software engineering leader, and business builder with more than 15 years of experience helping companies grow through reliable execution, strong relationships, and exceptional engineering talent.
Alejandro’s background combines technical expertise and business strategy. He studied Computer and Information Science at Universidad de Costa Rica and later completed an MBA in Finance at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. This combination allows him to understand both sides of every engagement: the technical quality companies need and the business outcomes they expect.
His professional philosophy is simple: build trust at scale. For Alejandro, staff augmentation is not just about filling roles. It is about creating certainty for clients, helping them move faster, solving problems with accountability, and building long-term partnerships based on reliability, transparency, and measurable value.
Beyond leading Square Codex, Alejandro is actively involved in the global startup and technology ecosystem. He has served as a Startup Judge for eMerge Americas, a Mentor and Advisor at Techstars San Francisco and Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, California, a Contributor to Entrepreneur Magazine, and a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.
Alejandro has also represented Square Codex and Costa Rican tech talent at major international events such as London Tech Week and SXSW. Through these experiences, he continues to connect with founders, investors, startups, and technology leaders from around the world while showcasing Costa Rica and Latin America as hubs for world-class engineering talent and innovation.
